Today I had a bit of a baking urge, so I decided to make my bf's favourite:

Hot Dog Rolls (16 to 20)

Yes that's how many I make for him alone. :D They're super simple to make, low cost and they taste great.

The ingredient list:

2 packs of 10 frozen pastry dough sheets (2x 1 Euro)
2 jars/packagings of 8 to 10 hot dogs or frankfurters. (2x 0.79 Euro)
1 egg (0.12 Euro)
A bit of French mustard and good old tomato ketchup (for the sake of sticking amount to it: 0.35 Euro)

- Defrost the dough and preheat the oven at 200c.

- Unpack hot dogs/frankfurters. Drain any liquid if necessary.

Lay out a sheet of dough. Use 1/3 teaspoon of mustard to make a small stripe straight across the dough. Do the same with about 1 teaspoon of ketchup.

Put a hot dog/frankfurter on top of the sauce and loosely fold over and roll the dough around it.

Whisk the egg nice and loose. Use a baking brush to coat a thin layer of egg over the top of the rolls. (Optional: Sprinke with grated cheese)

- Bake the rolls in the oven for +/- 25 minutes and let them cool off just a little before serving.
Total cost to make: 4.05 Euro :)

Enjoy.
